The End is in Sight!

Today they started installing our kitchen cabinets. It really feels like we're in the home stretch now! Here is what it looked like when they started ripping the old cabinets out:

Good thing I'm doing a backsplash to cover up that nasty paneling! 

I was in love with the new cabinets as soon as they brought the first few in. They look even better than I expected!

That's my new pantry to the the right of the fridge. I know it's smaller than what most people have, but it's bigger than what I used to have so it's good enough for me! 😂

They also brought my farmers sink today. Oh my goodness, it's huge! I think Easton could take a bath in there!

I had to leave to go pick up the kids from school, but Brett got a few pictures for me after they put the hardware on. 

They are coming back on Thursday with my countertops and then the appliances come on Monday. Can you hear me squealing??? 😁

It's been a few days since I've been to the school for my daily pic so I took a few. 😁 I missed that beautiful view!

The kids reported that they had cheeseburgers for lunch. The principal grilled them outside! How cool is that?! A little different than the boiled soyburgers they had when I was a kid. 😂 Anyone else remember those? Hahaha

I had to take Janae to her volleyball game and then Easton to his baseball game while Brett stayed back at the house with the cabinet guys. I put the address for the school into my GPS and we got there just in time. Except for one problem... There was no school at that address! I looked at the school's directions online and it was 35 minutes from where we were. Ahhhh! Janae ended up missing the whole JV game because of me. I felt so bad! By the time we got there, I had to turn around and take Easton straight to his game. Of course, it was 20 minutes back the same way I had just come from. As Chuck would say... Frustrations! 😉

At least we weren't late for Easton's game! 😊 Talan and I hung out while we waited.

I found this sign at the park quite amusing. 😁

Wouldn't you know it, my phone shut down right before the game started. When it turned back on, it updated every single app. For 45 minutes! Sooooo, I missed getting pics or video of Easton's first homerun ever! It was a shot to center field. By the time they threw it in, he was already at third.  I have never seen him run so fast in my life. He was so excited! 

He played pitcher again tonight and got a few outs at first. This was a real confidence booster after his last game. 

He had one more at-bat and you will not believe this... He got a second homerun! Straight down first baseline and to the fence. This time I got it on video! I wish I knew how to attach it! His team ended up winning 17-0. 😱

His smile was soooo big after the game. He couldn't have been more proud of himself. I love it! Much better ending than his last game.

We celebrated with a trip to Sweet Frog, the frozen yogurt place here. 

It's going on 10:00 and Janae's volleyball game just got over! I'll have to report on that tomorrow!😊
