Little Hiker Boy

This morning my mom and I went to Tanger Outlets and then picked up pizza at The Mellow Mushroom for lunch. Apparently we were gone too long because when we got home, Brett said it was going to be kind of hard to eat pizza with one arm since he had to gnaw one off for his lunch. 😂 He's such a smart aleck! 😊

The view was beautiful when we went to pick up the boys. It's still in the lower 90s here and hasn't rained in days.

As soon as we got home, Brett dropped us off at the end of town so we could go to The Day Hiker, a hiking store downtown. My mom had promised Easton a hiking stick for his birthday, so we went to pick one out.

They sure have it decorated nice downtown! I've never been here in the fall, so I'm anxious to see the leaves changing color.

While we were there, I told Easton I would get him a hydration backpack for his birthday. He was so excited and picked out the one he wanted. Then I told him he could also get some water shoes. He turned and looked at me and said "No, no, no. You're just being too generous mom." He says the cutest things sometimes. I told him I really wanted to get them for him and he said "Okay, I guess." 😊

He wanted to wear the backpack and use the walking stick to hike back home.
He talked nonstop about how these were the best birthday gifts ever the entire way home. 😁

Along the way, we passed these crazy fellas headed to Talan's baseball game. 😊

We were nearly late picking up Janae from volleyball practice, but we made it just in time. Just as we were leaving the school, Brett called to say Talan's game was cancelled because the other team forfeited. They were staying at the park for practice, so I decided to take my mom to Ogle's and Old Time Pottery. I found a few things I really liked! Shocking, I know. 😁

We still haven't picked out furniture for upstairs yet, but I kind of like this. It's really soft.

When we got home, I made TWO cards! It's the first time I've been able to craft since we got here. I cannot wait to get the downstairs finished and get my table so I can do more. My dear friend Aimee called me yesterday ( sooooo good to hear from her! 😍) and after talking about Stampin' Up! it really put me in the mood to craft!

Tomorrow the workers are coming to finish up the shower and put some flooring in downstairs, and then I think they are done with everything we had planned for now. Yay! 😊
