Change of Plans

Well, we had planned to go hiking or to Dollywood today. However, when we woke up, we were motivated to get some more work done around the house! That doesn't happen very often, so we decided to take advantage of it. 😁

Talan started his day by writing to one of his pen pals. I hope the recipient can read his messy handwriting! That boy drives me crazy! He is so smart, but refuses to write neatly. Grrrr! I usually make him redo his schoolwork when it's messy, but I let this one slide since he was doing this out of his own free will. 😂

We spent most of the day cleaning, unpacking and hanging all of the decorations in the boys' room. It looks soooo good now! Easton wanted to relax in his robe when we were finished. He looks so stinking cute in it! 😍

Here are some more of their things. They have been begging to have a computer set up in their room. Well, it's there now but we have no idea how to connect it to the internet, or even if it's possible since it's so old. Toby got all the technology smarts in our family! 😂 But it's there, so they can't complain, right? 😁

It wouldn't seem right to not have a portion of their room dedicated to baseball. I drew this picture when I was a senior in high school, so it's definitely meaningful to me!

It's nice to have somewhere for the boys to hang their bookbags. Too bad Talan's weighs about 50 pounds, so it has to sit on the floor!

And here is the sign on their door. I think it's a pretty great take on an awesome Bible verse and fits the general theme of their room quite well.

After all that work, Brett needed some video game time with the boys. They play some online PS3 game that all three of them are too addicted to. Janae and I think it's silly and would rather nap instead. 😂

We only have two controllers though, so they take turns. Here's Talan waiting for his turn. 😊

The kids ended up not being too disappointed that we just stayed home for the day. We played the Wii together, got in the hot tub and had ice cream, so I guess that was good enough for them! These are the days I'm starting to enjoy the most, just staying in our treehouse and enjoying it. 😊 We have another busy week of sports ahead of us, so this was a much needed refresher!
