Today was the day I've been looking forward to since we moved. We were supposed to get our appliances today. Notice I said supposed to. 😞 Brett got an email saying the refrigerator and range would be delivered today. It didn't mention the microwave and the dishwasher, so he called hhgregg. He was told that it was actually the microwave and the dishwasher that would be delivered today, and the refrigerator and range would be delivered tomorrow. That was a disappointment! Oh well, it's just one more day. I'll live. 😊 Once the delivery guy got here, he started unwrapping the dishwasher and discovered a scratch on it. We could have gotten some money back on it, but we decided it was bad enough that we didn't want to do that. More waiting while they order a new one. Oh well, I guess it's not like I use my dishwasher anyway. 😂 In the meantime, here's my new microwave! 😍
Now I just need them to finish the shelves for my cupboards and then my kitchen will be complete... Minus appliances and backsplash. 😑
I had to make yet ANOTHER trip to Lowe's today to get new doorknobs since we found out today that they were installing our new doors. I'm pretty sure that EVERYONE driving through Pigeon Forge today was on vacation and had nowhere they were in a hurry to get to because everyone was going 20! I also don't think people here know that if they want to go 20, they should get in the right lane. 😡 Lol
By the time I got home, we ate lunch and I reorganized things yet again, it was time to go pick up the kids from school. The views were beautiful today! They said it was cooler today, but it was 85; not much cooler!
We headed straight to Janae's volleyball game. She served 14 points in a row in the first match and ended up playing in all four matches. Five hours of watching volleyball is hard on your back, let me tell you!
We came home to some more finished things throughout the house. My favorite part of what we have done so far is our new sliding barn door for our bathroom. Privacy at last! 😂
They also got our door upstairs installed.
French doors downstairs are finished too! 😍
I FINALLY finished my lampshade for the guest room with a beaded wire. Not my favorite thing I've ever made but it's okay for now. 😊
