My Heart is Full

I love hearing from all of my friends from back home. Some days I don't feel like I have anything interesting to blog, and then I get a message from a friend telling me to keep going! Multiple people have told me that they read it every single day! That just warms my heart and makes me feel connected to everyone. My mother-in-law sends me a message every night telling me she's ready for bed but she's waiting for me to post my blog. 😁 Thanks to everyone who reads it, comments, sends me messages, supports us and prays for us. You have all made this transition to a whole new life for us so much easier! We love and appreciate you all. 😊

Today I took the kids to school by myself since they were coming to put the countertops in, so Janae was in charge of getting the mountain-view shot. She did really good!

I wanted to get some things to organize my pantry, so I headed in to Sevierville. I have quickly become a professional driving here, and have learned all of the back roads and short cuts to avoid Parkway. Good thing too, because there is a huge car show going on here for basically the whole month. Traffic gets backed up for miles and do these car fanatics ever drive SLOW. Y'all thought I was a slow driver. I'm not as slow as I am impatient, so I am glad I know how to avoid the traffic!

I found some of what I needed at Walmart, but not everything so I had to make another trip to Old Time Pottery. I can't wait to take my mom there next week when she comes to visit. There is so much to look at, but it's kind of boring looking alone.

I found a clearance shelf at the back of the store today. Most of the stuff was complete junk that should have been pitched in my opinion. Like the clock that said "Hands do not keep the time correctly." Haha What good is it then?! And then there was this gem:
My favorite part was what the tag said.
Really? I didn't notice! Hahaha😂 I'm not sure who would want this if it WASN'T broken. I did manage to find a lampshade on clearance because the lamp was broken and missing. Just what I needed! Now I just need one more!

I was gone long enough that they finished installing my countertops and sink. They also put a strip of dark gray trim across the top of the wall cabinets. I think it really ties everything together nicely!
I love the countertops. There are some little silver specks in the granite that sparkle when the light hits it. It's gorgeous!

The one thing that bothers me a little bit is that they were not able to center my sink with the window. I'm going to try to not let that bother me though, because everything else is just perfect!

I was REALLY tired from all that shopping 😂 and wanted to nap so badly, but I pushed through it and got my pantry organized.
It holds way more than I was expecting it to. I even have empty shelves! I'm sure that will change once we go to the storage unit this weekend. I will enjoy it for now. 😊

One thing we paid a little extra for was the soft-close doors and drawers. It was sooooo worth it. You barely have to push them closed and they go the rest of the way on their own. LOVE this feature!

Brett picked up Easton from school and I went to pick up Talan and Janae later. You will never guess what Talan voluntarily wanted to do after school. Running club! Yes, Talan! Not only that, but he had a lot of fun too! He sure was red though!

It meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school, rain or shine. I think I'm going to start going with him, and try to get Easton to go too. I could definitely use the exercise! We have not had a place to work out at home because of all of the stuff everywhere. We cannot wait to get back to doing Bodybeast as soon as this construction is done. I actually miss Sagi! 😂

Talan had his second game tonight, so back to the park we went. We were waiting for it to start and all of a sudden we heard what sounded like a puppet show. Janae and I went to investigate. 😁

It was a little church service and the puppet show was in Spanish, with an English translator! It was so cute! There were probably 30 little ones watching. The puppets spoke and then the translator said "Do you love Jesus boys and girls?" Then there was a loud chorus of "Yes!!!" It was so sweet. 😊

Later, during Talan's game, some ladies brought around water and hot dogs and invited us to their church service on Sunday. I kind of really want to go! It reminded me of the Dominican. 😊. The rest of the evening they had a band playing praise and worship music. It was awesome!

Talan's poor team got whooped, 15-3. The other team just kept running on us. Talan only got up once and struck out. He had a good swing, just couldn't connect. I told Brett maybe we should have Easton pitch to him so he has more practice hitting off of a kid. Easton loved that idea. 😁

Janae and I spent the evening coloring. I knew those markers and coloring books would come in handy. 😂
