LIFT

Today was another crazy day. It started out that my parents and I were going to go to Knoxville to return extra tiles and buy a rug for my living room. Along the way, a light came on that said low break fluid. Vehicle issues are starting to become the story of my life! We did manage to get everything returned and my mom and I both bought rugs. 😁 Here is the one I ended up getting:

The kids got out of school at 2:00 again today because of the Rod Run, so by the time we got home from Knoxville, we had to leave to go drop off the van and then pick up the boys. My mom said it was funny that I took a picture from the school every day, since the view is always the same. It's not though! The sky always looks different! Plus, I'm sure in a few weeks the trees will start changing colors, and it will be fun to look back at the changes.

After we picked up the boys, my mom and dad helped me to get the living room cleaned up, furniture moved, and my rug put in place. This is the first time we've had a real living room since we moved, so this is a BIG deal for us!

Tonight was my first LIFT event at church. It stands for Ladies in Fellowship Together and they have a luncheon or dinner together once a month. Tonight was a southern dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad and apple pie, and a fashion show presenting clothing from a Christian boutique in Pigeon Forge, Southern Charm. I invited my mom to go with me and did we ever have a blast!

They had all first timers stand up and we all received a gift. Then they passed out a jewelry gift from Southern Charm to everyone!

Pastor Brent's mom said prayer and had a devotional. She is hilarious and such a sweet woman. She walked around and chatted with every single table. I'm guessing there were about 400 ladies there, so that was a lot work, I'm sure!

Here were some of my favorite outfits. They were all beautiful though! I got hooked on boutiques when I was shopping with Erin and Steph right before we moved, so I am definitely going to have to check out this store!

It was a lot of fun getting to talk with some more ladies from church. I am looking forward to the next event, a silent auction, on October 15th. My mom can't come because she will be coming down the following week, so who wants to volunteer to go with me? 😁

When we got home, we found that Janae and Brett were busy working downstairs while we were gone. You can actually see the floor! Now we just need our furniture to get here!

Looks like they had a little bit of fun too. I hope he was careful... Those are my New Kids on the Block posters in there! 😂

And one final shot of my living room all lit up at night. 😊
