So Many Errands to Run!

Today was another day of running errands. We took the kids' vaccination records to be transferred over to Tennessee forms and then we went to the DMV.

We were sitting in the DMV and these two older ladies were sitting across from us filling out their paperwork. One lady says outloud "Do I have any mental disabilities? Yes, I'm goofy!" The other lady says "We'll just put no anyway." I about died holding in my laughter. Later the same lady was getting her photo taken holding her dog in a purse. "He's not going to be in the picture, is he?" she asked. 😂😂😂 People and their dogs crack me up. I'm not a dog person, so I will never understand it. 😁

I was dreading getting my picture taken for my license, but the guy told me I could smile! I was shocked because in Indiana they always told me I couldn't smile. So basically I looked like a criminal getting a mugshot. 😂 This picture I actually like and am not embarrassed by. Brett's looked great too, but he is one of those people who ALWAYS takes good pictures. 😈

Here's us running around. Easton was so funny and said "Hey, I wasn't ready!" 😊

We stopped at A&W for lunch. The kids decided that they love it there and now want to get mugs so they can have frosty rootbeers at home. 😋

Once we got home this afternoon, I continued work on my curtain toppers. I decided that the backs needed covered because you can see them from outside, so I bought some material to do that.
No one else would probably notice, but I'm picky like that! I also covered a lampshade that was here for my bedroom. Once I find the perfect lamp to go with it I will post that too!

My next project for the day was painting a mirror for my bathroom. I looked everywhere for a new one, but haven't been able to find one that suits me. So, I decided I could probably just paint one that was here. It started out gold.
I painted it the same color I had already painted this stand for my bedroom:

Then I painted country white over that...
And finally, I sanded it so some of the turquoise and gold would show through. You'll probably have to enlarge that picture to notice any difference but I'm pretty happy with it for a free project! 😊

Tonight we are going to finish painting the boys' room. They are planning on getting some of the trim up in the bedrooms tomorrow. The shower is looking great. I meant to get some pictures but they closed it up so no one would accidentally walk on the floor so it should look even better by the time I blog tomorrow!
