A Foggy Morning

This morning when we woke up, we heard on the news that there was fog in the area. It didn't look foggy at our house, but there was fog above us! This was the view from the school this morning. Absolutely breathtaking!
These are probably my two favorite pictures I've taken here, and they're just cell phone pictures!
Just moments before, it looked like this down on the highway. The fog was so dark it looked like smoke! I'm glad it was above us and we didn't have to drive through that!

When we got back from taking the kids to school, I got caught up on laundry, cleaned up some of the construction mess and decorated some more. I can't wait until all of the remodeling is finished so I can put things in their final places! I feel like all I do is move things around so the workers can get to things.

After lunch I decided to go for a little walk. It is completely different here than I am used to in the country! So much more to look at! It's nice having a sidewalk to walk on too. The uneven country roads were always bad on my back. The walk back home is rough though because it's all uphill, then I get to my driveway and it's MORE uphill! It's definitely making my legs stronger though. 😊

When I got back, Brett was on the deck "bear hunting." The cub was visiting the (very loud) neighbors up above us. We watched him for a while before I started back on a few of my painting projects.

On our way to pick up the boys from school, we saw him again on the road above us. I think he spies on us as much as we spy on him! 😁

The boys had another great day at school. Easton was the first one to get homework, and started on it as soon as he walked in the door!

I caught Talan watching a video on his I-pad and singing along to it. It turns out it is a song they sing in his class at church that he is trying to learn. So cute!

Then I found my adorable hubby doing some sanding work for my shelf. He's the best! 😍

I finished up my final coats of paint right before it was time to go pick Janae up from volleyball. These are all things that were in the house that I decided to try to make-over.  This lamp will go in the guest bedroom.

This will be a shelf for towels (and decor to make it look cute, of course!) in the master bathroom, and the lamp will go in the living room. Now I just have to find some lamp shades I like!

Janae is loving volleyball. She really likes her coach, who is a man in his early sixties. That cracks me up. He coaches both the middle school junior varsity and varsity teams. Brett says it's pretty chaotic, but she likes it regardless! Her first game is tomorrow and she's so excited. We can't wait to watch her play again!

We grilled hamburgers for dinner and then Brett and Talan left for baseball practice. Janae, Easton and I enjoyed the hot tub for a little bit before coming inside for the night. Easton and I snuggled and watched his latest favorite movie, Back to the Future. I love the extra time I have been getting to spend with the kids. We are really growing so much closer as a family and it makes my heart so happy! 😊
