Rain, Rain, Rain

Easton woke us up this morning and said it was time to go to Splash Country. We looked at the clock and it said 8:00! I cannot believe we slept that late! We were planning on going to the water park at 9:00 because season pass holders get in an hour early on Saturdays. And then we realized it is Sunday! Haha It totally messes up our thinking since we now go to church on Saturday nights instead of Sunday mornings! Since we had a little extra time, the three of us decided to get in the hot tub. It wasn't raining yet, but the sky was dark and gloomy.

By the time we ate breakfast and got ready to leave, it was raining pretty steadily. Cali was enjoying listening to the rain. We have one set of bunk beds torn apart and in the family room, and Cali thinks it is her bed now. It's pretty cute, but she lays around so much that I think she has gained weight since we moved. Right before we moved she weighed 13 pounds! I can only imagine what she weighs now.

Even though it was raining, we decided to go to Splash Country anyway. We knew it wouldn't be busy, and we were planning on getting wet anyway! 😁 It was REALLY empty. I don't know how they can afford to even stay open on days like this. We didn't have to wait in any lines, even on the most popular rides. It never even rained while we were there either!

Today was the first day that Janae rode on every ride with us. She used to hate water rides and getting her head wet. No more! She wanted to ride rides over and over again! We have tried telling her for years that the rides are not scary and she is not going to flip over. Took her long enough to believe us! 😊

We had to leave around noon because Easton had baseball practice, so we had packed a picnic lunch and ate in the car. We dropped off Easton and Brett at practice and headed to Dick's to get a chest protector and pants for Talan. I handed him a pair of pants to try on and...
I'm pretty sure they were adult-sized, what do you think? 😂😂😂
You should have heard Talan giggling as he stood there in these pants. He has the best laugh. I love it. 😊

Next up was the Neighborhood Walmart for groceries. We hurried through so we could drop them off at home before heading back to Easton's practice. We were about 15 minutes from home when Brett texted saying it was pouring. So, we turned around and went back to the park, only to wait for another 45 minutes while they continued practice in the rain. 😠 Men. Can't cancel practice for anything. 😁

After practice we had big plans to go home and get more done at the house, but I think the busyness of the past three weeks has finally caught up to us because we slept, ate dinner, and are ready for bed at 9:00. All this rain just makes me want to sleep. Hopefully it will clear up so I can get something productive done tomorrow!
