The End of Fall Ball

Yesterday was Fall Break, so we stayed home and basically did nothing all day.😁 Janae and I did venture to Walmart to get her Halloween costume. She has a trunk-or-treat event that she has to hand candy out at for Beta Club, and she wants to be a super hero. We found her a cute Supergirl shirt and a sparkly pink skirt. That was easy enough! I couldn't find anything for the boys, so I am hoping they will want to be baseball players. 😂

Last night, Talan's team played the BEST game they have played all season. Talan had an awesome double play, catching a pop fly and then getting a runner out at second. The Iron Pigs did such a great job. They ended up coming up short, but for playing against the best team in the league, they did awesome.

The kids were not too excited about getting up early and going to school today. It seemed especially dark this morning, too! We had a great morning though and got them off to school with no hiccups.

Janae had to take a hunter's safety class at school today. Today they went to shoot clay pigeons with a 20-guage shotgun. She didn't hit a single one. 😂 I guess she takes after her mom! Tomorrow she is going to the high school to take the PSAT. Hopefully she fares better on that!

Tonight was Talan's last game. We played catch before the game and it was hot! I need to really enjoy these next few days because it looks like it's going to get down to 58 by Friday! Brrrr

Tonight's game did not go as well as last night. We just could not hit or field the ball to save our lives! I think I speak for the whole family when I say we are glad to be done with fall baseball. We are looking forward to more family time!

The end still called for a celebration, and Talan wanted to try the Chocolate Monkey. They gave us a locals discount, just as some of the other local places have done. I have to remember to start asking places if they give a discount! It was yummy!

Tomorrow is Parent-Teacher conferences. We are halfway through the second 6 weeks already. Hard to believe how fast it's going! It seems like just yesterday that we were back in Indiana!
